How to I get rid of the bamboo that is in my yard?
Can you answer udflyer1's question about Bamboo?:
I have had my house for ten years and along the garage I have a bamboo plant that I have tried everything to kill it off. Roundup, digging it out, gasoline, etc. does not work. Does anyone have a way to rid this pestering plant in any way. It continues to spread into the yard and is the toughest plant I have ever met to erradicate.

My first suggestion is to put an ad on your local craigslist for free bamboo people will come out of the woodwork to dig it up for you for free. The last resort is too go into the grove cut every cane to the ground and wait when it starts shooting kick over all of the shoots, they are very easy to break. After you do this it will weaken the grove and will try to shoot again kick over all shoots again and keep kicking them over never allowing them to get leaves and branches without leaves or branches bamboo cannot survive. The roots will eventually run out of energy, die and then rot.
The best and most reliable way to kill bamboo is to pay a bunch of money for it.
