How I Get Rid of Garden Slugs
I have to say my first year with a home garden I was a little stunned to find damage every where in our garden yet couldn't seem to find the guilty party. It didn't take long, through the assistance from a gardening friend Judy I learned garden slugs were guilty. From that point on I was ready for them.
She said I could go out after dark and pick them off one at a time.
Here are some extra tips for getting rid of slugs. These are home garden tips I have learned from others since I started gardening.
Beer Traps, Slugs Die Happy - You probably didn't know slugs like beer as much as people do. Just take a container like margarine containers then put some beera little of the wonder juice (beer) in the bottom and make it easy for them to get to.
I tend to push the container down in the dirt so that it's level with the ground.
I recently viewed a video on Youtube by a gardener named John. He learned to use a margarine containers or any small container or dish that will hold enough beer to get there attention so the would climb in and drown.
Wish I had know this last year I might have saved some of my zucchini plants. Here is the video that I watched from John:

Keep Those Egg Shells To Cut Down On Slugs
It's a known fact that slug like moisture and they don't like climbing over dried stuff especially if it's sharp like stones or egg shells. Keep your egg shells and crush them up and lay them over your plants where slugs travel.
The Beer Slug Board Game
Janice Stillman created a great little video tip for getting rid of slugs. Janice maybe having too much fun with this one.
