Nothing to it. Just put it in the different container.

Change the water frequently. Thats it.

Bamboo is soooo tough! It just wants to live like crazy! If you are planning to just move it to a bigger container, just do it! Bamboo can live hydroponically (no soil) for a long time. Make sure you put a water soluble food in occasionally-like Miracle Gro,etc. Here's the big one though;if you want to grow it in the ground(your yard, etc)HEED THESE WORDS! If you do not want to have bamboo coming through your driveway, the neighbors lawn, your road, etc. you MUST plant in plastic(PVC only)or metal cans with holes in the bottom. Bamboo, once established, sends out underground runners which travel an immense distance per season.(50,100,200,500+feet) I have witnessed a takeover, and been asked to remedy it.Killing/removing bamboo is a monumental task if it has been allowed to dig in. Think backhoes, etc.Don't get me wrong-a properly planted bamboo thicket is lovely! Just remember to plan ahead!
