How do I kill bamboo plants/trees?

Can you answer bugs280's question about Bamboo?:

I have some kind of trees that look like bamboo growing in my back yard. They are spreading like crazy and taking over the yard. Last fall I pulled several up by the roots, but they just grew back. I've already soaked them with Round Up twice. It hasn't even wilted the leaves. Help.

The only way is to totally pull up all the root. I have so much in my yard I am trying to find uses for it or someone to buy it.

Sell them or offer them for free to folks that would come and remove them (replacing the soil). If I was near enough I'd LOVE to have some!
