Can you cut meat on a bamboo cutting board?

Can you answer ckandi007's question about Bamboo?:

I'm thinking about buying a bamboo cutting board, but I'm wondering if it's porous–is it save to cut raw meat on the cutting board or is it only meant for things such as veggies? Thanks.

It is a better surface to cut on as it will not dull the blade of your knife like the composite knives will.

Just take care of it correctly.
