How do I maintain my bamboo flooring?

Answered By Belinda Aldworth, Editor

Bamboo floorings are usually laminated with special glues to protect it from any kind of scratches etc. However, this does not mean that you do not have to do anything to maintain the beauty of your bamboo flooring. Most of the laminates that are being used react with petroleum based waxes. Therefore, it is advisable not to be using petroleum based floor polishers. You may instead use water to wipe away simple stains or any other floor polishers or cleaners that can not damage your flooring. Another thing that you can do to maintain your flooring is by not bringing in the shoes or any walking paraphernalia inside your room where you have bamboo flooring installed.
