There are three main types of Bamboo wood flooring. The most common type will be the engineered variety. Engineered Bamboo floors use a layer of Bamboo over another often cheaper wood. Solid wood floors on the other had are solid all the way through. They are a little harder to install and are more subject to warping since they do not have the layered construction of an engineered wood floor. The last type of Bamboo wood floor is the strand woven type. With this type of floor the individual strands of Bamboo have been woven together to form a very durable flooring. All of these types of Bamboo wood floors are available in a number of different finishes to suit your particular style. It will have a lacquer finish that makes it extremely durable.
